Lenten Soup Dinners

Sponsor or assist with Lenten Soup Suppers held after Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings during Lent.

Coffee & Donuts

Coordinate and assist with the Coffee and Donuts social gathering held after mass the first Sunday of each month in the parish hall.

Festival of Tables

Festival of Tables is a women’s luncheon held in the winter. Volunteers include: a coordinator; greeters; a decorator/ambiance specialist; a kitchen crew (preferably men); and women to host their tables. Hostesses are asked to decorate their tables with linen and tableware in whatever theme they choose. This luncheon is hosted by the women of St. Patrick’s, supported especially by the Welcoming & Social Committee, and benefits the Portland Area Ministerial Association.

Welcoming & Social Committee

This ministry is focused on encouraging and extending hospitality and promoting fellowship with special events.

Stewardship Committee

The committee’s goal is to increase awareness and involvement in stewardship of the parish, mainly time and talent, and to promote Stewardship as a way of life.

Script

The Scrip/Gift Card program is the easiest fundraiser that we have in our parish. It simply requires redirecting buying habits by using the same money we would already use to purchase gift cards to use at the same stores to buy the same things we would buy anyway. A card purchased for $25.00 buys $25.00 worth of goods or services. Then the particular merchant partners rebate a portion of their profit back to us. This rebate can be used in a variety of areas. Reduction in the tuition investment at our top rated parish school is one possibility. Others include the general parish fund, youth group, building and grounds and several other options.

The Scrip coordinator is responsible for weekly ordering, including special orders, preparing deposits and tracking volume to appropriate accounts. Volunteers to work in the Scrip room at our school are always welcome. There is no time commitment. Any help is greatly appreciated. www.glscrip.com

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is comprised of the heads of each fundraiser, as well as the Finance Council, Administration of the Parish and School, Education Commission, and School Athletic Association. The Committee overseas each fundraiser making decisions as to their validity and continuation.
