Standardized Testing
We are very proud of how well our students do on the standardized tests that they take each year. Our elementary and junior high students are tested with MAPS tests; juniors and seniors take the ACT.
Elementary and junior high students are tested three times a year using MAPS Testing. Student MAP testing results are reported in RIT scores (short for Rasch Unit). A RIT score is an estimation of a student’s instructional level and also measures student progress or growth in school.
At St. Patrick School, our students are tested in the following subjects:
- K-2: Reading and Math
- 3-5: Reading, Math, Language Arts
- 6-8: Reading, Math, Language Arts and Science
St. Patrick juniors and seniors take the ACT, and they are able to take it right here at our school. Our school counselors worked hard to bring back the ACT and to have St. Pat’s designated as a testing center.
