Hi my name is Jena Schafer. I graduated Portland High School in 2006 and went on to graduate from Central Michigan University with a degree in elementary education in 2011. I was lucky to be able to do my student teaching at St. Pat’s in the spring of 2011. I then started my career with Ionia public schools from 2011-2023. During this time, I worked as an interventionist for 3rd grade, did two long term teaching jobs in kindergarten and first grade, then I taught kindergarten for 2 years, second grade for 3 years and fourth grade for 5 years.

I live in Portland with my husband, who I have been married to for 11 years, and my two kids, Evelyn(6), and Lincoln (3). We attend Saint Patrick Church.

I am so excited to work at Saint Pat’s. I can not wait to help student grow academically and spiritually.
